|May 8, 2012 — The eurozone debt and currency crisis has taken a heavy toll on Europe’s elected political leaders. Of 17 leaders in the eurozone, 10 have been ousted from office because of the crisis in little more than a year. The first victim was Ireland’s Brian Cowen in February last year, while the weekend saw Greek voters vent their rage on the two big parties and France turn its back on Nicolas Sarkozy.
Graphic leaders voted in and out over the last 15 months.
